Poodle Doodle Do started back in May 2013 when members of a Facebook group were asked to help a little poodle mix called Millie who was in the pound and was destined to be PTS. Unfortunately the fundraising and support couldn't be done in the group in which the request was made and so Poodle Doodle Do was born! Katie Bristow set up the group and Millie was shortly followed by Tucker and Stevie. Since then we have gone from strength to strength and we now have almost 400 members. Many more of these members have since rescued from abroad, we are all very proud of what we have achieved in the short time we have been running .

Millie the story so far .......
Millie arrived at Heathrow Animal Reception May 7th in a state of shock, I would say she was petrified. She was hunched right at the back of her flight box, with fear in her eyes. Absolutely bewildered as to where, what was going on ,and who I was. I sat in the back of car with her in her box on the journey home, feeding her treats, she was so hungry, she fell asleep with her head on my hand, the first step to trusting me. Millie has fitted in well with her doggy sisters (all four soon to be five of them!) especially with Eden, who she has a great bond with. We found out early on just how scared Millie was of everything, humans being the main thing, so we are doing everything VERY slowly and we see progress everyday. Millie is an affectionate, clever girl, who hopefully will forget all the bad things that happened to her before she came to live with us. She has been here 6 weeks on 18th June, and has come on in leaps and bounds (literally) she is like a kangaroo. WE ADORE HER....xx
Tucker's Story......
Tucker came out of Heathrow animal centre a little bewildered, it isn't the nicest of meeting places with everyone staring at you. The first night was sleepless as he seemed to be looking for an exit and wide awake but the next day he slept well. From then on he has fitted in with his new Mummy Tami and big brother Brannan and his doggy sister Cooperdog very well. He experiences new things every day but only a little at a time. He is one very smart boy and learns very quickly, always offering and trying to work out what we ask. Very loving and sociable, a joy to be around...... . his journey continues on the Poodle Doodle Do blog........
Stevie's Story so far..........
Stevie was probably the only dog to emerge from the doors of Heathrow animal centre not looking scared, if he could talk he would have said " Hey...the dude has arrived!" He jumped into the car and settled straight down on the passenger seat for his journey home, not at all fussed about his journey. Once we got back he made himself at home and loved rolling around on the grass outside where he met his new doggie brother Patch. I would like to say that they made friends ....but sadly, so far , that has not been the case, however they do seem to be learning to tolerate each other so I suppose that's all I can hope for at the moment as its still early days yet. Poor Stevie did have a rather tough second day here though, as after a bath I realised his rather curly coat was quite matted and contained a fair few ticks, so had to have a trip to the vets and a big haircut when we got home...poor boy! But he still looks gorgeous! We have lots of things to work on together and I'm determined to teach him some food manners as he is totally obsessed with any food.....so watch this space!!!
